Job Overview:
Our team’s focus is managing the patient’s identity within the healthcare system and ensuring they have access to their medical records when they need them. We prioritize security and simplicity to remove barriers while interacting with the health system without compromising the security of their health records.
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Lead Engineer specializing in Flutter and iOS to join our high-performance remote team. As a Lead Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and implementing an SDK developed in both Flutter and Swift. You will also play a key role in hiring recommendations for Senior Mobile Engineers and help direct day-to-day operations in close coordination with management.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and implement an SDK developed in both Flutter and Swift.
  • Participate in hiring recommendations for Senior Mobile Engineers.
  • Help direct day-to-day operations in coordination with management.
  • Work closely with product engineering, product marketing, quality, and systems teams to ensure the product works properly end-to-end, both pre and post-release.
  • Be an expert in Flutter, specifically with the interoperability between Flutter and Swift.
  • Preference will be given to candidates with a Swift background.
  • Experience with Flutter Web is a strong positive but not required.
  • Experience creating a mobile SDK in any language is a strong positive.
  • Be familiar with Agile processes and the Atlassian suite of tools.
Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned:
  • Design, develop, debug, and implement mobile native and mobile hybrid components, software tools, and utilities.
  • Determine system software design requirements.
  • Ensure that system improvements are successfully implemented and monitored to increase efficiency.
  • Work in an Agile/Scrum environment.
Qualifications:
  • 8+ years of experience in mobile app development with at least one mobile applications with users over 200k MAU.
  • 4+ years of experience in mobile development with a combination of Flutter / iOS.
  • Experience coordinating with remote teams.
  • Experience working in a regulated industry.
  • Experience in cross-platform technologies such as Flutter or React Native.

· Lead and manage an Agile software development team, providing guidance, support, and mentorship to team members.
· Foster a positive and collaborative team environment and provide opportunities for team members to grow and develop in their careers.
· Collaborate with stakeholders to create and drive the team's roadmap, aligning team goals with company objectives.
· Ensure that team deliverables are met on time and to a high standard and provide regular updates to stakeholders on team progress.
· Provide technical leadership and guidance to the team and ensure that all team members are following industry standard best practice.
· Continuously monitor and improve team processes and workflows to ensure that the team is operating efficiently and effectively.
· Experience with building services that maintain a high-level of reliability and scale.

The pay range for this role is:
160,000 - 235,000 CAD per year(Remote - Canada)
170,000 - 171,000 USD per year(Remote - United States)
