Ticket Agent - LMC at Mormac Marine Group Inc – Ludington, Michigan

The SS Badger is a coal-fired passenger and vehicle ferry that has been in service on Lake Michigan since 1953. The ship shuttles between Ludington, Michigan, and Manitowoc, Wisconsin, 62 miles, connecting U.S. Highway 10 between those two cities.

We have an exciting opportunity for a Ticket Agent for Lake Michigan Carferry. Starting pay for this role is $14.00/hour. This position also receives holiday pay, 401K, and the opportunity to earn an end-of-season bonus of $0.50 for every hour worked during the sailing season. ferry assists in obtaining this document.

Job Summary:

This shore position is responsible for assisting passengers with reservations and boarding the vessel. Possibly being the first voice that connects a passenger to the Badger experience, you will be making reservations for families in a friendly and helpful manner. Working inside, your responsibilities include processing tickets, answering phones, making reservations, and issuing gift certificates. You will also be working outside and are responsible for checking passengers and vehicles in and directing them on how to board the ship. Excellent communication skills, telephone skills, being able to communicate clearly and assisting passengers in a friendly and helpful way is necessary for Ticket Agents. Fulltime and Part-time positions are available. These flexible hours are a mix of both morning and evening shifts. Cashier experience is a plus.
