Position Overview:
We are seeking a Surgical Technologist (CST) for our client, located in Lewiston, ID, 83501. The work hours are from 6:30 am to 5:00 pm.

Compensation:
Our client offers a competitive compensation package ranging from $52,000 - $78,000, commensurate with your experience, education, certifications, and skill set. This reflects a strong commitment to attracting top-tier talent for this pivotal role.


Key Responsibilities:

• Serve as a key member of the sterile team during various surgical procedures.
• Prepare the operating room by opening supplies, performing surgical scrubs, and setting up necessary equipment.
• Assist in draping and establishing sterile fields.
• Anticipate the surgeon's needs by passing instruments, sutures, and other essential items.
• Maintain a sterile environment by adhering to strict aseptic techniques.
• Conduct needle and sponge counts in collaboration with the circulating nurse.
• Participate in the on-call rotation with other staff members, receiving $4.00/hour on call and a minimum of 2 hours of pay at time and a half if called to work.

Qualifications:

• Graduate of an accredited surgical technologist course.
• Surgical Technologist Certification (CST) is preferred at the time of employment, required within 6 months of hire.
• At least 2-3 years of acute care hospital-based operating room experience (Ortho, Neuro & General Surgery).
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• In-depth knowledge of surgical principles, procedures, and sterile techniques.
