• Compensation: $120,000-$140,000 + Productivity Bonus

Job Summary:

As a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner, you will provide comprehensive psychiatric care to a diverse patient population. This role requires a compassionate, resilient, and highly skilled professional who can navigate unique challenges to deliver exceptional mental health support.

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct patient care in a psychiatric setting, working closely with patients and their families.
• Administer medications and monitor their effects, including psychopharmacology.
• Perform specialized procedures such as gastric lavage and airway management when necessary.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement treatment plans.
• Conduct assessments and evaluations to determine the appropriate course of care for patients with special needs.
• Assist with utilization management to ensure efficient and effective use of resources.
• Provide support and education to patients and their families regarding mental health conditions and treatment options.
• Coordinate care with other departments, such as laboratory, medical imaging, sterile processing, and specimen collection processing.
• Provide dementia care for patients with cognitive impairments.

Ideal Candidate:

• Two (2+) years as a psychiatric nurse practitioner with experience with mental health assessment, diagnosis, triage, managing common psychiatric medication and treatment plans, and managing crisis situations.
• Must be a licensed Nurse Practitioner in the State of Georgia.
• Experience working with Athena (EHR) preferred
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
• Understanding of utilization management principles to optimize patient care.
