We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Veterinary Surgical Technician to join our team. As a Veterinary Surgical Technician, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional care to our patients as well as client education. This position requires a strong background in anesthesia, handling and restraint, and customer service. Responsibilities:

• Assist the veterinarian by collecting patient histories
• Perform routine procedures such as TPR's, blood draws, run in-house laboratory, IV catheter placement
• Administer medications and treatments as directed by the veterinarian
• Monitor vital signs and anesthesia during surgical procedures
• Prepare animals for surgery, monitor anesthesia and scrub in during surgical procedures
• Proficient in bandaging and radiology
• Provide nursing care to hospitalized animals
• Client communication: Answer phone calls, reception duties when needed, discharge patients
• Maintain accurate medical records

Experience: To be successful in this role, you should have the following qualifications:

• Previous experience working as a Veterinary Surgical Technician (RVT/LVT)
• Strong knowledge of aseptic technique
• Familiarity with anesthesia ventilator is a plus
• Proficiency in handling and restraining animals safely and effectively
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to educate pet owners on proper animal care
• Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
