Job Description
General Purpose: Production Manager Assistant is involved with the planning, coordination and control of manufacturing processes. They ensure that goods and services are produced efficiently and that the correct amount is produced at the right cost and level of quality. The Production Manager Assistant is also responsible for the oversight and training programs for all operations Team Members in accordance to the Operations the employees are accountable for; a mentor for the supervisory Team Members and a liaison or spoke person responsible for cross functional communication across several departments internal and external to the facility.
Description of Duties:
- overseeing the production process, drawing up a production schedule;
- ensuring that the production is cost effective;
- making sure that products are produced on time and are of good quality;
- working out the human and material resources needed;
- drafting training schedules and a timescale for the job;
- estimating costs and labor standards and monitoring the quality standards for each product;
- monitoring the production processes and adjusting schedules as needed;
- being responsible for the sanitation and master sanitation programs for the facility and equipment;
- monitoring product standards and implementing control programs for product consistency;
- liaising among different departments, suppliers, service contractors and other facility managers;
- working with managers to implement the company's policies and goals;
- ensuring that health and safety guidelines are followed;
- supervising and motivating a team of workers;
- reviewing worker performance, developing corrective action plans as required;
- identifying training needs for transitioning and new employee base
Leadership Skills Required
- Ability to work efficiently in Microsoft Office Applications (word / Excel / PowerPoint)
- Strong Communications Skills; ability to communicate up and down the organization staff
- Ability to work on multiple task at any one time (Strong Time Management Skills)
- Strong Organization skills
- Strong Change Agent (ability to understand, communicate and implement positive change)
Physical Demands
- Ability to work off primary shift if needed
- Ability to work weekends if needed
Shift: 1st Shift - 6am-3pm Monday - Friday. Saturdays may be mandatory and open to overtime.
Salary & Benefits Package:
Salary: $25 per hour.

Education: High School Diploma
Experience: 2 years in a supervisory/management position preferred
Work Environment:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee must be able to work at various speeds. The noise level in the work environment can be extremely loud.
Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to be able to work standing. Must be able to stoop, kneel, reach, lift and must be able to work under these conditions every day. This job requires frequent lifting of supplies and raw materials up to 50 lbs. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus. This position requires good corrected hearing.
