Facilities Technician in Calabasas, California at Paragon Implants MFG LLC

Overview: The Facilities Technician performs the day-to-day maintenance of the facility equipment and grounds, including repairs related to the building and upholding a safe and secure environment. This is a manual labor position. Works with moderate supervision.

Essential Functions, Duties, and Responsibilities:

• Assist with basic facility (interior and exterior) upkeep/cleanliness, maintenance/repairs, and improvements (including waste disposal and pest control).
• Assist with a Preventative Maintenance (PM) program schedule for the applicable equipment and facility.
• Respond to work requests and record maintenance activities.
• Successfully complete long-term Continuous Improvement (CI) projects, meeting all project objectives, in an efficient and timely manner.
• Assist with third party contractor support as needed. Act as the liaison between management and vendors by scheduling, coordinating, and managing on-site visits.
• Assist with emergency cleanup.
• Assist with maintenance and restocking of inventory for spare parts, combustibles, tools, and miscellaneous maintenance supplies.
• Assist and comply with all company and OSHA Health and Safety regulations and procedures including, but not limited to Lockout/ Tagout, Accident Reporting, and Forklift Safety.
• Other duties as assigned.

Education, Experience & Competencies:

Required:

• High School Diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Minimum of two (2) years’ related experience in machine repair and facility maintenance.
• Familiar with OSHA and Safety guidelines.
• Must have strong communication skills.
• Must be able to meet or exceed deadlines.
• Ability to collaborate with others and work in a team environment.

Preferred:

• Moderate Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.) skillset.
• Demonstrated experience troubleshooting and/or repairing CNC equipment, compressors, and grinders.
• Working knowledge of management quality system requirements for medical devices (ISO 13485:2016, ISO 14971:2019, (EU) 2017/745, FDA 21 CFR 820).
• Ability to perform basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry work, and operate a forklift.

Physical Requirement / Abilities:

• Ability to regularly walk, climb, crawl; use hands to manipulate objects, tools, or controls; reach and pull with hands and arms; and talk and hear.
• Ability to frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to occasionally operate a forklift, use a ladder, or other machinery to perform maintenance.
• Ability to work in an office environment which requires sitting at a desk, standing, and reaching for keyboards, mouse, etc.
• No travel.
