About This Position
This role is responsible for overseeing all credentialing functions for providers at HaysMed and its affiliate organizations. This role also serves as the office manager for the Emergency Department, Hospitalist, and Anesthesia (including CV Anesthesia, Anesthesiologists, and CRNAs) specialty groups.
Qualifications
Education/Experience/Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, management, or a related healthcare field; equivalent experience may be considered
- Administrative assistant or administrative support experience
- Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills
Preferred:
- Experience or proficiency in healthcare operations or medical credentialing
Responsibilities
- Manage scheduling for the Emergency Department, Hospitalist, and Anesthesia Groups—including CV Anesthesia, Anesthesiologists, and CRNAs
- Coordinate and schedule provider meetings for all assigned groups
- Source, interview, and schedule locum tenens providers through agency partnerships to cover staffing needs
- Complete credentialing for all new providers and maintain re-credentialing requirements for all payers
- Update and validate payer rosters, including the BCBS Value-Based Roster
- Facilitate clinic change notifications with insurance payers
- Process provider terminations with insurance carriers and malpractice insurance
- Maintain CAQH profiles, ensuring attestations every 120 days or when information changes
- Monitor outstanding documentation for assigned provider groups
- Track insurance approvals and follow up with payers to expedite applications
- Communicate provider approval status to coders, clinics, and billing offices
- Participate in special projects, committees, and task forces as assigned
- Manage administrative tasks for assigned provider groups including distributing mail, processing check requests, and tracking time sheets.
- Submit required documentation updates to payers (e.g., CLIA, license/DEA renewals, Certificates of Insurance, practice location changes)
- Respond to clinic and billing inquiries and resolve credentialing-related issues with payers
