About This Position
Chicago Chop House, a renowned fine-dining establishment located in a historic Victorian brownstone, is seeking a highly motivated Sales and Events Manager. The ideal candidate will excel in generating revenue through booking private dining events and large parties while providing exceptional client service. This role requires an experienced professional who can solicit, negotiate, and manage event sales, coordinate event details with restaurant staff, and ensure flawless execution of events.
Compensation & Benefits:
Base Salary: $52,000 per year
Commission: Earn from $15,000–$30,000 in service fees and $15,000–$20,000 in private event commissions annually. (Commission is based on net sales and service fees from private events and large party bookings. Higher bookings = higher earnings.)
Benefits: Comprehensive benefits package offered, including free health care.
Schedule: Five-day workweek with two consecutive days off. Can include weekends and will include holidays based on business needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Revenue Generation: Actively solicit, negotiate, and close bookings for private dining events and large parties to meet and exceed sales goals.
Client Management: Build and maintain strong client relationships, serving as their primary point of contact throughout the event planning and execution process.
- Event Coordination: Collaborate with restaurant staff to ensure smooth execution of all events, adhering to Chicago Chop House’s high standards for service and ambiance.
- Sales Strategy: Develop and execute strategies to maximize sales opportunities and maintain an active pipeline of leads.
- Customer Satisfaction: Ensure all events surpass client expectations, enhancing Chicago Chop House’s reputation for exceptional private dining experiences.
Qualifications:
Proven experience in event sales, hospitality, or a related field.
Strong negotiation, communication, and organizational skills.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
Self-motivated with a results-driven approach to achieving sales goals.
Familiarity with fine dining or luxury event settings is a plus.
