Help Desk Analyst at Cookeville Regional Medical Center – Cookeville, Tennessee

Responsible for screening, referring and diagnosing internal or external inquiries and work requests as they relate to maintenance of workstations and personal computers, related systems, and/ or applications software. May assist in performing minor troubleshooting in the identification of applicable problems relating to workstations and PC’s, applications software and basic network communications. May have telecommunication responsibilities.

Acts as initial point of contact for user support calls to the IT Service Desk such that all calls are logged correctly and promptly allocated appropriately within the IT team. Provides first-line technical support when handling calls, in order to provide time-of-call resolution to less complex calls whenever possible
Provides an ad-hoc service to users of all computer systems, troubleshooting and resolving systems problems
Carries out a prescribed program of system performance monitoring, measurement, management, and capacity planning for computer systems, to support a pro-active approach to meeting changing system demands
Assist in the maintenance of the Helpdesk Knowledge Base.

Education

High School Diploma Required

Additional Education Requirements

Vocational training or equivalent.

Experience

Computers/Information Technology Required

Additional Experience Requirements

2+ years experience in troubleshooting PCs.
