Powerhouse Brands is currently seeking a Manufacturing Engineer. Pay range $75K – $100 DOE.

Summary & Purpose (Position Summary)

The Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for defining, establishing, improving and maintaining manufacturing processes. This position is involved in Pilot process to ensure tools are user friendly and produce acceptable parts, ensures drawings and routings are correct before launching mass production on new products.

Responsibilities/Mandatory Functions

• Design for manufacturability reviews & PFMEA's
• Setup and cycle time estimation and standard cost setting
• Design and fabrication of required processes, routings, tooling and/or equipment
• Prepare and train on work instructions
• Sign off pilot runs to confirm product and process quality.
• Address/Communicate pilot issues to R&D team.
• Fixture and tooling design and optimization
• Root cause analysis and corrective actions
• Manufacturing process design (Manufacturing sequence & flow, work instructions, time studies)
• Detailed routing readiness planning including release status, supplier & stock readiness
• Create 3D models and 2D drawings of required tooling
• Engineering change requests.
• Ambassador & coach on lean manufacturing, problem solving methods & principles

Essential:

• 3D modeling parametric design & 2D drawings (preferably Solidworks)
• Ability to perform engineering calculations
• Ability to maintain timelines and meet due dates
• Basic understanding of product development processes
• SS and Kaizen training/experience
• Familiarity with design for manufacturability (DFM) and PFMEA
• Familiarity with MS Excel, Word, and Project
• Strong oral and written skills
• Ability to work independently or in a team environment

Desirable:

• Detailed knowledge in automotive/motorsports industry
• Experience with ASME Y14.5-1994 GD&T
• 2-3 years in automotive/motorsports industry

Education Mandatory

• B.S. Engineering, preferably B.S. Mechanical or Industrial Engineering

Mandatory Requirements

• 3-6 years of hands-on experience in a manufacturing environment
• 3-6 years metal manufacturing product and/or tooling design experience
