CLASSIFICATION Full-time

FLSA Exempt

REPORTS TO Vice President Revenue, Events & Hospitality

LOCATION Park City, Utah

TRAVEL 25% (10-15 weeks per year)

SALARY: $65,000 - $75,000

SUMMARY / OBJECTIVE

The Senior Manager, Revenue Events & Hospitality works to service U.S. Ski & Snowboard commercial partners and philanthropic donors at the highest level under the direction of the Vice President Revenue, Events & Hospitality. This role manages and supports the Managers Revenue, Events & Hospitality to successfully take event programs from concept to evaluation that drive existing and cultivate new revenue streams while curating unparalleled experiences for commercial partners, donors and other U.S. Ski & Snowboard stakeholders.

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Athlete Experience
    1. Champions athlete success and performance through programs funded by commercial partnerships, philanthropic gifts and the Gold Pass program.
    2. Fosters and manages relationships between partners, organizations and our athletes.
    3. Promotes our athletes and sports through integration and appearances at events and hospitality engagements
  1. Operational Excellence
    1. Drives the Revenue, Events & Hospitality team in developing the strategy and overseeing the execution of signature events including the New York Gold Medal Gala, Champions Club, Team Fundraisers, Board of Trustee Meetings, Partner Summit, USSS Olympic House, World Cup hospitality/activation, and regional receptions
      1. Responsible for venue selection, hotel contracting, design, F&B, A/V, entertainment, program, décor, transportation, credentials, gifting, event-related communications, and various other elements to maximize the value and quality of events
    2. Interacts effectively with cross-functional departments including Marketing, Communications, and Creative on promotional strategy, event content, creative requests and branding elements
    3. Tracks and manages event-related data in Classy and NPSP/SalesForce
    4. Strong communication to effectively engage with major donors, partners and stakeholders, present ideas clearly, and foster collaboration
  2. Financial Performance
    1. Secures annual revenue goals for Foundation Special Events of $2 million+
    2. Manages expense budgets across all events and programs of $2 million+
    3. Drives additional revenue through thoughtful engagement and stewardship of commercial partners, donors, and prospects throughout event cycle

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • This position requires a minimum of 40 hours per week (generally 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. daily) Monday - Friday. This is an exempt position, which requires travel to events.
  • Work on nights, weekends and holidays as needed
  • Must have or be able to obtain valid passport for international travel
  • Must possess valid drivers license as position requires driving of company vehicle
  • This position must be able to lift 25+ pounds.

COMPETENCIES & EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience required
    1. Master’s degree preferred
  • 5+ years in events/hospitality management
  • Foundation and Partnership/Sponsorship experience preferred
  • On-site Olympic Games experience a plus
  • Ability to multi-task and wear many hats
  • Willing to learn new skills quickly and put them into action
