CDL Class A Driver in MCKEES ROCKS, Pennsylvania at Classic Rock

Location: McKees Rocks, PA

Reports To: Logistics Supervisor

Schedule: Monday through Friday (hours may vary based on business needs)

Starting Pay: Starting at $28.00 per hour; compensation is based on experience and qualifications

POSITION SUMMARY

Classic Rock is seeking a dependable, safety-focused CDL Class A Driver to join our Logistics / Supply Chain team. This position is responsible for the safe and efficient delivery of manufactured stone products while maintaining compliance with applicable DOT requirements and company safety standards.

Our drivers represent Classic Rock at every customer location. The successful candidate will take pride in operating equipment safely, delivering products accurately and on time, and providing professional customer service.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Safely operate a Class A commercial motor vehicle in accordance with applicable DOT requirements and company policies.
• Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of assigned vehicles, trailers, and equipment.
• Maintain compliance with applicable Hours of Service requirements, electronic logging requirements, and company safety policies.
• Use Samsara and other company technology to support Hours of Service compliance, electronic logging, vehicle inspections, communication, and other assigned driver responsibilities.
• Maintain the cleanliness and overall condition of company vehicles and equipment.
• Immediately report vehicle maintenance or repair needs, accidents, injuries, defects, and safety concerns.
• Safely load and unload materials using a Manitou, Moffett, forklift, or other approved material-handling equipment.
• Transport manufactured stone products and related materials on flatbed trailers.
• Verify load contents and delivery documentation for accuracy before departing the manufacturing facility or distribution location.
• Secure loads in accordance with applicable DOT requirements and company standards.
• Inspect load securement throughout the route and make adjustments as necessary to support safe transportation.
• Complete required delivery documentation accurately, including delivery photos when required.
• Deliver products to commercial and residential job sites while providing professional customer service.
• Communicate effectively with Logistics, Customer Service, and customers regarding delivery status, delays, or other issues.
• Maintain a professional appearance and represent Classic Rock positively when interacting with customers and the public.
• Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL).
• Minimum of three years of verifiable driving experience.
• Current DOT Medical Examiner's Certificate (Medical Card).
• Must possess and maintain a driving record acceptable under company hiring standards and the company's insurance eligibility requirements.
• Must be able to provide a current Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) and sufficient verifiable driving history for review.
• Must meet all company and insurance eligibility requirements to operate a commercial motor vehicle.
• Ability to safely lift, carry, push, and pull materials weighing up to 100 pounds.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Effective communication and customer-service skills.
• Demonstrated commitment to workplace and roadway safety.
• Driver Eligibility Review: Employment in this driving position is contingent upon review of the applicant's MVR, verifiable driving history, and satisfaction of the company's established driver hiring and insurance eligibility standards.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• CDL Class A experience operating flatbed equipment.
• Flatbed delivery experience.
• Experience operating a Manitou, Moffett, truck-mounted forklift, or other material-handling equipment.
• Experience delivering building materials or manufactured products.
• Experience delivering to commercial and residential construction job sites.
• Experience using Samsara or a similar fleet-management, ELD, or GPS fleet-tracking system.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Frequently lift, carry, push, and pull materials weighing up to 100 pounds.
• Climb on trailers and equipment as necessary.
• Frequently bend, stoop, kneel, climb, and reach throughout the workday.
• Work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Safely operate commercial motor vehicles, forklifts, and other material-handling equipment.
