Payroll Specialist in Davie, Florida at Sprinklermatic Fire Protection Systems Inc

We are seeking an experienced, detail-oriented, and highly motivated Payroll Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who takes initiative, works independently, and thrives in a fast paced environment.

This position requires strong payroll processing experience, proficiency with ADP Workforce Now, and experience with Sage 100 Contractor. Familiarity with certified payroll reporting and the construction industry is highly desirable.

Essential functions include, but are not limited to:

• Process accurate and timely payroll for employees across multiple locations and departments.
• Utilize ADP Workforce Now for employee payroll information, payroll administration, and reporting.
• Work with Sage 100 Contractor to support payroll processing, reconciliation, and reporting.
• Prepare, review, and submit certified payroll reports in accordance with applicable federal, state, and prevailing wage requirements.
• Review employee time records, overtime, payroll adjustments, deductions, and reimbursements for accuracy.
• Research and resolve payroll discrepancies promptly and professionally.
• Maintain accurate employee payroll records while ensuring confidentiality.
• Assist with payroll tax reporting, wage garnishments, and other payroll-related compliance requirements.
• Reconcile payroll information and collaborate with Accounting and Human Resources to ensure accurate recordkeeping.
• Maintain compliance with applicable federal, state, and local wage and hour regulations.
• Identify opportunities to improve payroll processes, efficiency, and accuracy.
• Respond to employee payroll inquiries in a professional and timely manner.
• Support payroll audits, year-end reporting, and other payroll-related projects as needed.
• Construction experience helpful
• Certified Payroll experience preferred

Sprinklermatic specifications include:

• Previous experience processing payroll in a professional business environment.
• Experience with ADP Workforce Now preferred.
• Experience with Sage 100 Contractor preferred.
• Excellent organizational skills and strong attention to detail.
• Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet strict payroll deadlines.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Outlook
• Must know right from wrong and govern yourself accordingly
• Must be able to remain in a stationary position for long periods of time
• Constantly operates a computer and other productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine, and computer printer.
• Able to take direction and follow instructions
• Must demonstrate the ability to be a team player with a "can do" attitude
• Must be able to pass a drug screen and background check
• Bilingual a plus
