Conti LLC - Traffic Division

Conti LLC is seeking a Senior DOT Estimator with a minimum of 8+ years of Traffic/DOT construction estimating experience. This individual will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates for DOT Traffic projects, including Highway Lighting, Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS), Traffic Signalization, Highway Signing, and Tolling, based on construction plans and specifications.

• Prepare and lead complex estimates and bid submissions for both Design-Bid-Build and Design-Build projects.
• Review bids with senior management prior to submission.
• Analyze construction drawings, specifications, and scopes of work.
• Perform quantity take-offs and develop project-specific subcontractor and vendor bid lists.
• Distribute plans and scope sheets to obtain competitive pricing from subcontractors and suppliers.
• Communicate with subcontractors and vendors to secure complete and timely quotations.
• Manage Requests for Information (RFIs) and clarifications with customers and project owners.
• Attend project handoff meetings after bid award to ensure a complete transfer of information to operations teams.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with subcontractors, suppliers, engineers, and other industry partners.
• Compute project costs by analyzing labor, material, equipment, and time requirements.
• Prepare estimates using proposals, blueprints, specifications, and related project documents.
• Resolve estimating discrepancies through information gathering and analysis.
• Review project plans for consistency, completeness, and accuracy.
• Manage all levels of quantity take-offs and apply accurate unit pricing.

• Strong estimating experience in:

  • Highway Lighting
  • Traffic Signalization
  • Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS)
  • Highway Signing
  • Highway Tolling

• Proficiency with:

  • Microsoft 365
  • Bluebeam
  • Trimble
  • Accubid

• Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management or a related field preferred.
• Minimum of 8 years of estimating experience.
• DOT estimating experience strongly preferred.
• Proven experience bidding projects valued at $10 million or greater.
• Fluency in English, including reading, writing, and verbal communication.
