Armed Security Officer – Temporary Overnight Assignment – Niles, Michigan

Pay: $17 per hour | Start: ASAP | Work location: Niles, MI

Detroit Body Guards Protection Unit, LLC is hiring for a temporary overnight armed security assignment in Niles. This is a temporary assignment. Exact overnight hours, workdays, and assignment duration will be confirmed with the hiring team.

As a Professional Security Officer for Detroit Bodyguards Protection Unit, LLC you will be Responsible for the Safety and Security of our Client’s property and personnel. You be will also be responsible to familiarize yourself with all site-specific policies and procedures, and implement emergency response activities as appropriate, while providing superior customer service.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Patrol the premises
• Report safety issues, such as fire hazards, vandalism and suspicious or criminal activity
• Warn patrons of possible rule-breaking, and eject those who violate rules or cause disturbances
• Use detection devices to screen individuals for weapons or ensure only authorized employees enter restricted areas
• Keep an eye on the entrance and exit to prevent theft and ensure workplace security
• Stand or walk on various surfaces for long periods of time

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:

• Be at least 21 years of age with high school diploma or equivalent
• A high school diploma or equivalent
• Must pass background check
• Must have or be able to obtain a CCW/CPL with-in the state of Michigan
• Purchase Permit/Open Carry
• Emotional intelligence and good character judgment
• Verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to assess your own behavior, while also paying attention to employees, patrons and visitors
• Listening skills
• Willingness to learn and enforce safety procedures
• Comfort with directing people or taking up leadership responsibilities
• Attention to detail
• Ability to handle crisis situations at the client site, calmly and efficient

Education:

• Customer service: 1 year (Preferred)
• Detroit Body Guards Protection Unit, LLC is looking for Armed Security Officers for a temporary overnight assignment in Niles, Michigan.
• This assignment is based in Niles, Michigan. Applicants must be able to commute reliably to the assigned Niles site.
• Must be available for overnight shifts, including scheduled weekends and holidays if required.
• All applicants must have reliable means of transportation (private or public), willing to work independently while maintaining confidentiality and professional demeanor at all times.
• Must be hard working, self-motivated, punctual, and exercise good judgment.
• Applicants will be provided uniforms and must have all the documents and proper carry permits to work in their assigned location.
• Have the ability to complete all necessary reports utilizing computer and/or smartphone technology.
