Medical Biller (NOT a remote position) at Jefferson Community Health Center – Fairbury, Nebraska

THIS IS NOT A REMOTE POSITION. This position is located in Fairbury Nebraska.

Jefferson Community Health & Life is looking for a Medical Biller. This position is in Fairbury Nebraska. This IS NOT a remote position.

Full-time: Monday through Friday

Hours: 8:00am - 4:30pm

QUALIFICATIONS:

* One year certification from college or technical school or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

* High School Diploma

* Medical office experience, preferred.

* Must be able to type a minimum of 45 wpm.

* Knowledge of business and accounting processes.

* Effective communication skills, verbal and written.

* Good organization skills with ability to meet deadlines.

* Competent use of computer systems, software and 10 key calculators.

POSITION SUMMARY: Responsible for timely submission of medical claims to insurance companies and payers such as Medicare, Medicaid, Blue Cross/Blue Shield and Commercial Insurances. This position is critical to the financial cycle of all healthcare providers.
