Sr. Software Engineer
Job Summary Responsible designing and developing software solutions for Movius customers. Key Duties & Responsibilities (in decreasing Critical Emphasis order) 1 Create flowcharts and other documentation to identify requirements for software and to propose possible solutions. 2 Apply computer science, engineering, and mathematical analysis to the software development process. 3 Coordinate with other staff members to forecast whether the design will be feasible under cost and time constraints. 4 Perform software systems testing with a focus on procedures and programming. 5 Evaluate existing processes and procedures to identify areas that need optimization. 6 Build, set up, and improve systems and procedures. 7 Collaborate with the engineering team on prototype development. 8 Utilize software to perform efficient planning, designing, and development. 9 Assist with projecting the costs and timeframes of projects, as well as creating work schedules and setting deadlines. 10 Perform quality control and resolve structural design and other issues throughout the implementation stages. 11 Collect and interpret analytical and performance data, as well as prepare progress reports. 12 Ensure compliance with industry standards. 13 Keep abreast of developments and innovation in the area of specialization. 14 Performs other duties as assigned. Qualifications/Skills/Abilities Minimum Requirements Formal Education Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Computer Science Experience (type & duration) 3-5 years in software development Skills • Excellent organizational skills, time management and attention to detail. • Excellent analytical, strategic thinking and problem-solving skills. • Extensive knowledge of software systems and programming languages. • Proficiency in engineering and project management tools, applications and software. • Extensive knowledge of engineering processes and system optimization.
