Job Description
LPI Group are hiring Lightning Protection Technicians- US Region. Reporting to the Site Supervisor (US) this field-based position will be responsible for the day-to-day planning, coordination and control of LPI projects. The purpose of the role is to install lightning protection and earthing systems on a variety of structures across all forms of private, public, industrial, commercial & Data Centre sectors. This role offers a unique opportunity to make a significant impact on our company's success.
Responsibilities
- Install lightning protection and earthing systems on Data Centres and variety of tall structures. This will involve working to pre-designed schemes including drawings, a risk assessment and method statement.
- Undertake upgrades to existing lightning protection systems to specified instructions provided.
- Accurately complete Company paperwork including point of work risk assessment, job sheets, marked up drawings, material schedules and timesheets and ensure this is returned to the office-based team.
- Provide onsite communications and advice to either the client or managers of a project, ensuring the Company is professionally represented at all times.
- Maintain a strong commitment to health, safety and environmental standards at all times, ensuring all work is completed in a safe and compliant manner.
Requirements
- Proven experience working within data centre construction industry or in a similar environment.
- Electrical experience is advantageous but not essential.
- Strong understanding of lightning protection systems, electrical engineering principles, and construction practices.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills for liaising with clients, suppliers and team members.
- Experience working on commercial and industrial projects.
- Good knowledge and commitment to health and safety standards and protocols and good knowledge EQHS Management System.
