Job Description


Purpose/Description

The Department Manager 3 will work under general supervision of the APA Deputy Chief. This position serves as point person regarding Sexual Assault Kit Initiative grants, ensuring that all deliverables and objectives as outlined in grant agreements are met, and maintaining accountability and compliance.


Responsibilities


Required Tasks

  • Serve as the central point of contact for federal and state granting agencies.
  • Ensure WCPO meet all deliverables and objectives as outlined in grant agreements, maintaining accountability and compliance.
  • Facilitate and foster relationships with WCSKTF’s partner agencies.
  • Oversee data entry, ensure proper data collection techniques, and work with WCPO IT to maintain WCSAKTF databases.
  • Assign and review work of WCSAKTF clerical support staff.
  • Review potential grant opportunities with WCPO Director of Grants and Legislation, prepare grant narratives for WCSAKTF related grant applications, and assist in development of proposed grant budgets.
  • Complete case summaries on all WCSAKTF cases that result in a conviction.
  • Participate in various WCSAKTF related meetings, workgroups, seminars, conferences as required.
  • Complete other assignments as directed including obtaining and reporting data and preparation of written papers and presentations.
  • Complete statistical reporting e.g., WCSAKTF FAQ, WCSAKTF Monthly Report, WCSAKTF Case Summary, APA caseload report, and detective caseload report, monthly, annually, and as requested.
  • Coordinate and facilitate monthly Victim Notification Review Team Meetings, including creating agendas, contacting participants, completing minutes, and presiding over meetings.
  • Provide statistical reports and performance data on a quarterly and semi-annual basis to grant agencies utilizing specific reporting tools and programs provided by the grant agencies.
  • Coordinate and facilitate quarterly WCSAKTF meetings (currently alternating between full task force meetings and command only meetings), including creating agendas, contacting participants, completing minutes, and presiding over meetings.
  • Complete statistical reporting e.g., WCSAKTF FAQ, WCSAKTF Monthly Report, WCSAKTF Case Summary, APA caseload report, and detective caseload report, monthly, annually, and as requested.
  • Perform additional duties.

Qualifications


Educational/Experience Requirements

  • A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Business or Public Administration, Criminal Justice or a related field; AND
  • At least 4 years of experience overseeing grants, which must include drafting narratives, creating budgets and timelines, and reporting performance data and goal progress to grant agencies; AND
  • At least 2 years of supervisory experience;
