Were seeking a Psychiatric Safety Officer to join our team and help create a secure, supportive environment for individuals in our care. This role goes beyond traditional security workyoull be part of a team that protects, supports, and helps others during critical moments.What Youll Do Monitor facility safety, from perimeter checks to daily interactions with individuals served Respond quickly to emergencies, helping de-escalate behaviors and ensure safety Supervise and support individuals served, preventing elopements and maintaining accountability Operate and monitor communication and surveillance systems (CCTV, alarms, radios, alarms, etc.) Search for contraband and enforce safety standards throughout the facility Greet and verify visitors, monitor entry/exit points, and oversee vehicle traffic on grounds Provide safe, secure transportation to off-site appointments, court, or specialized care Education High school diploma or equivalent (required) Experience Must meet minimum age requirements as defined by state licensing authority or contract (required) Prior experience in security, public safety, or healthcare preferred Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite preferred Licenses/Certifications Valid state drivers license with a favorable driving record (required) Ability to obtain and maintain any client-mandated certifications and/or training Why Join UsAt our core, we believe safety is the foundation of healing.
