Pharmacy Technician at Parkview Health – Auburn, Indiana

The pharmacy department at Parkview Health is looking for highly motivated and reliable candidates to join the pharmacy team. There are opportunities to train and staff in multiple pharmacy technician functions. Additionally, the pharmacy department offers a Career Path with incentives provided for national certification and cross-training in advanced technician roles. Complete the entire Career Path and you can potentially earn an additional $5,200 annually on top of shift differentials, frequent salary increases, and routine range adjustments. PRN schedule provides flexibility and additional hours would be available at Parkview sister hospitals if desired.

Summary: Provides world-class pharmacy services while assisting the Pharmacist in assigned areas of drug procurement, preparation, storage, inventory control, distribution, orders, and dispensing.

Education: High school graduate or equivalent GED required. Successful completion or enrollment in Indiana Board of Pharmacy approved Pharmacy Technician Training program, within one year of employment. Successful completion of high school Algebra course required. Successful completion of clerical and science courses preferred. Computer classes and experience desired.

Licensure/Certification: Must have or be eligible for a State Board of Pharmacy Tech in Training license or a current State Board license as a Pharmacy Technician or Intern for the State where services will be provided.

Experience: One year pharmacy experience and/or pharmacy technician oriented formal class work preferred. Good verbal and written communication skills. Must have basic computer skills. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
