Multimodality Ultrasound/Vascular Tech Position Summary

Performs vascular/ultrasound procedures at a level of competence not requiring constant supervision to technical detail. Assumes responsibility for designated areas, procedures and students as assigned. The inventory, distribution/delivery of medications may be required.

Multimodality Ultrasound/Vascular Tech Position Requirements

Education

• Graduate of an approved Allied health Program (Radiologic technology, Nuclear Medicine or registered Nurse) or a graduate of an accredited ultrasound program.

Required License and/or Certification

• Currently registered as a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (ARDMS) and Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT).
• Must be registered and must maintain both modalities.

Experience

• Minimum of two years of experience. Hospital experience preferred.

Multimodality Ultrasound/Vascular Tech Work Schedule

• Day shift, Monday through Friday with alternating call.
• Schedule may expand to cover evening or weekend depending on patient demand. Shared call.
• Schedule may expand to cover evening or weekend depending on patient demand. Shared call.
• Expected to respond in the event of a disaster.
• Demonstrates personal responsibility for maintaining a satisfactory attendance record.
