Lenawee Christian Ministries provides Christ-centered education, spiritual development, and wellness services to the Lenawee County community, centered around Jesus Christ. The ministry is made up of two operating entities: Lenawee Christian School and the Christian Family Centre, located in Adrian, MI.

Position Summary.
Under the supervision of the Aquatics Manager and Head Lifeguard, the Lifeguard is responsible for maintaining a safe, welcoming, and Christ-honoring aquatic environment for all patrons of The Centre and The Corner Park.
This role requires vigilant monitoring of pool areas, consistent enforcement of safety policies, and immediate response to emergencies. Lifeguards serve as frontline representatives of the Centre and are expected to demonstrate professionalism, attentiveness, and servant-hearted leadership at all times.
Key Responsibilities.
- Provide continuous, active surveillance of pool areas to ensure the safety of all guests.
- Recognize and respond quickly and effectively to emergency situations in accordance with American Red Cross standards.
- Administer CPR, First Aid, and water rescue procedures as required.
- Enforce all Centre policies, procedures, and safety rules in a polite, professional, and consistent manner.
- Complete and document incident reports accurately and promptly.
- Record pool chemical readings and report irregularities to management.
- Maintain daily task logs and complete assigned cleaning and facility tasks.
- Record usage statistics and attendance as required.
- Assist with or teach group and private swim lessons as assigned.
- Attend and actively participate in required in-service training sessions.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming aquatic environment.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

- Demonstrate spiritual maturity, humility, and a strong commitment to excellence and servant leadership
Certifications & Requirements
- Current American Red Cross Lifeguard Certification, or ability to obtain certification, required.
- CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer and First Aid certification, or ability to obtain certification, required.
- Ability to successfully complete required in-service training.
- Flexible availability, including evenings and weekends.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to swim required distances and perform timed rescue scenarios
- Ability to remain alert and attentive for extended periods
- Ability to lift, carry, and assist patrons in emergency situations
