About the Role

As our Sports Trading Manager, you’ll be the go-to expert responsible for shaping and managing our sports trading operations. Reporting to the COO, you’ll play a pivotal role in delivering an exceptional betting experience for our customers, ensuring accurate data, effective risk management, and seamless collaboration with cross-functional teams.

This role offers a unique opportunity to completely shape the sports product at Picklebet. Working closely with our product teams, you’ll help drive the next generation of sportsbooks, introducing innovative ideas and solutions that will elevate our offering to new heights.

What You’ll Be Doing

Overseeing Sports Trading Operations: Manage the accuracy of event data, odds, and results while ensuring top-tier risk management practices.Driving Performance and Profitability: Monitor live events and key matches to optimize trading outcomes and deliver on company KPIs.Risk Management: Use trading tools to manage exposure, action client profiling, and ensure profitability across markets.Promotional Planning: Collaborate with marketing teams to build a sports-focused promotional calendar that excites customers and drives engagement.Data-Driven Insights: Analyze trading performance and provide actionable insights to senior leadership to shape future strategies.Product Collaboration: Work closely with our product team to design and implement cutting-edge sportsbook features and solutions.Team Leadership: Train and mentor junior traders, creating a collaborative and high-performing team environment.

What We’re Looking For

Experience: At least 3 years in a senior trading role, with at least 1 year of management experience.Industry Expertise: A strong background in sports trading or risk management, ideally within the sportsbook industry.Sports Fanatic: A passion for sports, with a deep understanding of sports markets and events.Analytical Thinker: Exceptional analytical skills and attention to detail, with a proactive approach to problem-solving.Tech-Savvy: Experience with trading platforms and tools, plus an openness to learning and utilizing new technology.Leadership Qualities: A collaborative mindset, with the ability to guide and inspire a team while working cross-functionally.
