At Merrimack Health, we are committed to pay transparency and equity. The base salary range is $35.94 (Min) — $53.40 hourly (Max), excluding fringe benefits and potential bonuses.
Your final base salary will be determined based on your education, experience, licensure, and internal equity considerations. Offers are typically made below the top of the range to support future salary growth.
JOB PURPOSE:
Reporting to the Director of Pre-Hospital EMS plans, they direct and evaluate the daily operations of both the Dispatch Center and the Pre-Hospital EMS system.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Coordinate all EMS Field Operations.
- Establish and communicate clearly defined goals, deadlines and expectations to EMS personnel.
- Work with the Medical Director to coordinate and conduct Quality Assurance and Improvement Plans.
- Update and implement Standard Operating Procedures for both Dispatch and EMS Field Personal.
- Coordinate and lead departmental meetings.
- Apply Progressive Discipline and Employee Improvement Plans.
- Investigate all accidents, incidents and injuries.
- Purchasing and Inventory Control.
- Ensure the department’s compliance with Corporate, State and Federal Requirements.
- Address and resolve Customer Service concerns and complaints.
- Process all Medical Records and Medical Examiners Requests
- Complete employee payroll weekly.
- Design and oversee the new employee orientation.
- Design and oversee the department schedule.
- Be available on nights and weekends for any and all major events in the city.
- Prepare statements in conjunction with the Director for newsworthy events.
- Audit all EPCR’s and oversee the EPCR computer system.
- Record and scan all Billing and Patient Care Reports for prosperity.
- Oversee Fleet Maintenance.
- Meet with OEMS State Inspectors.
- Foster and maintain relationships with surrounding municipalities.
- Stay current with all licenses, protocol changes and MCI Protocols
- Attend expos and conferences bringing back information useful to the EMS Department.
EDUCATION AND RELATED EXPERIENCE:
Required:
- Associate's Degree.
- EMT-B certification or higher.
- BCLS certification or higher.
- Related professional leadership in a similar environment.

- Three years of full-time experience performing supervisory responsibilities or highly responsible work relating to tasks assigned to this position.
