About This Position

Raffay's Shoe Manufacturer

The Shoe Manufacturer / Production Associate is responsible for assembling, finishing, and inspecting footwear products according to quality, safety, and productivity standards. This role works on the factory floor, operating machinery and using hand tools to help turn raw materials into finished shoes.

Key Responsibilities

Production & Assembly

Cut, stitch, and assemble shoe components (uppers, soles, linings, insoles) according to specifications and work orders.

Operate manufacturing equipment such as stitching machines, cutting presses, molding machines, and lasting machines.

Apply adhesives, perform lasting, sole attaching, and finishing tasks to produce completed shoes.

Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) to maintain consistent product quality.

Quality & Inspection

Inspect materials and finished shoes for defects (stitching, alignment, glue marks, shape, color, etc.).

Identify and report non-conforming products and assist in basic rework or repairs.

Ensure all products meet company and customer quality standards before packaging.

Safety & Maintenance

Follow all health and safety guidelines, including proper use of PPE (gloves, eye protection, masks as required).

Keep work area clean, organized, and free of hazards.

Perform basic equipment checks and communicate any maintenance issues promptly.

Productivity & Teamwork

Meet or exceed daily/weekly production targets and efficiency goals.

Collaborate with team members and supervisors to coordinate workflow and resolve issues.

Participate in training on new products, techniques, and equipment as needed.
