Position Statement: Prepares standard journal entries for approval by Controller. Prepares reconciliations of balance sheet accounts. Processes accounts payable and patient refunds. Prepares adjusting journal entries as necessary. Assists in annual audit and preparation of budget documents.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepares and inputs monthly standard and general journal entries to general ledger system.
- Prepares monthly balance sheet account reconciliations as required. Investigates and corrects all variances.
- Processes accounts payable invoices and patient refunds. Reviews weekly with Controller outstanding invoices and coordinates with Controller the checks to be run. Prepares checks for the mail and files paid invoices.
- Researches invoice/purchase order discrepancies and works with Materials Management to get them corrected.
- Receives and answers inquiries from customers regarding invoices. Creates adjusting journal entries to correct any discrepancies or incorrect expensing.
- Does any other miscellaneous work assigned by Controller.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Associate’s Degree in Accounting or Business Administration
- 2-3 Years experience, preferably in healthcare setting.
- Must have working knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
