About This Position
Time Commitment: Part-time (15–20 hours per week)

Status: Hourly
Compensation: $15–$18/hour (DOE)
We are seeking a motivated, detail-oriented Accounting Clerk Intern to join our growing finance team. This internship is designed for students or recent graduates who are eager to gain hands-on experience in a professional accounting environment.
The ideal candidate is a proactive self-starter with a strong interest in accounting and finance who is excited to contribute while developing real-world skills in financial reporting, reconciliations, and process improvement. This role offers exposure to core accounting functions and the opportunity to work closely with experienced professionals.
Duties & Responsibilities
Accounting & Financial Support:
- Assist with the reconciliation of balance sheet accounts and identify discrepancies
- Support month-end close processes, including preparation of journal entries and documentation
- Assist with AP/AR month-end adjusting entries and related analysis
- Contribute to improving the accuracy and efficiency of month-end reporting
- Support budgeting, financial oversight, and internal reporting activities
- Assist with preparation for annual audits, including gathering, creating, and organizing supporting documentation
Operational & Process Support:
- Communicate with clients to help resolve basic billing and insurance-related inquiries
- Collaborate with third-party insurance billing partners
- Help document and improve internal accounting procedures and workflows
- Support the development of documentation for month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes
- Perform additional accounting and administrative tasks as needed
Qualifications
Education & Experience:
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Foundational understanding of accounting principles and financial concepts
Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, basic financial modeling, and reporting)
- Familiarity with accounting software; QuickBooks Online experience is a plus
- Experience with Google Workspace (Sheets, Docs, Gmail, etc.) preferred
