About This Position
Hematology Oncology Associates of CNY (HOACNY), voted one of Central New York’s Best Places to Work, is looking for a full time Manager of Patient Navigators to join our professional team. HOACNY provides cancer care services, Monday through Friday, day hours at three convenient locations in East Syracuse, Syracuse and Auburn. Assumes a working managerial role hiring, training and managing both the workflow and team members of the Patient Navigator Department.

Requirements:Knowledge of medical industry, laws and regulations. Knowledge of organizational policies, procedures and systems. Knowledge of medical terminology. Knowledge of medical office procedures. Knowledge of computer systems and applications.
Skill in planning, organizing, delegating and supervising. Skill in evaluating the effectiveness of existing methods and procedures. Skill in exercising initiative, judgment, discretion and decision-making to achieve organizational objectives. Skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships. Leadership skills and experience. Skill in identifying/investigating problems and arriving at solution. Skill in computer applications.
Ability to develop, read, interpret and apply policies and procedures. Ability to delegate responsibility and authority. Ability to communicate information effectively via verbal, non-verbal and written methods. Ability to maintain effective working relationship. Ability to maintain a positive and effective attitude in the face of adversity. Ability to encourage, deliver and receive feedback and maintain an open mind.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Administration or related field, preferred;
or ten years related experience
Experience: Five years of experience in a management position, Previous experience in medical office setting
