Strategic Estimating Leader Drive Profitable Growth for Premier Florida Commercial Projects

  • Salary/Pay Rate: $70,000 to $95,000 (based on experience) per year plus Profit Sharing.

The Opportunity

You will serve as a high-level strategic leader, directly partnering with the CEO and Operations Team to secure complex commercial electrical contracts. This role offers the autonomy to identify value engineering opportunities and mitigate risk while working within a culture that prioritizes integrity, teamwork, and professional excellence. You will play a pivotal role in the company's growth by transforming detailed blueprints into profitable, winning proposals.

How You Will Make an Impact
  • Lead the preparation of accurate and competitive estimates to secure high-value commercial electrical projects.

  • Analyze complex project drawings, specifications, and wiring diagrams to define the comprehensive project scope.

  • Identify critical scope gaps and risk exposures to protect company profitability and project integrity.

  • Develop precision takeoffs using Trimble Accubid and Bluebeam software to ensure material accuracy.

  • Collaborate with Project Managers to facilitate seamless transitions from successful bids to field execution.

  • Cultivate and maintain influential relationships with General Contractors, subcontractors, and vendors.

  • Evaluate new project opportunities to support the strategic expansion of the firm's market presence.

Required Qualifications & Experience
  • Minimum of 5 years of dedicated experience in a commercial electrical estimating role.

  • Proven track record of successfully bidding and securing mid- to large-scale commercial projects.

  • Advanced technical proficiency in Trimble Accubid, Bluebeam, and the Microsoft Office Suite.

  • In-depth working knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and Florida Building Codes.

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to manage multiple complex proposals under strict deadlines.

  • Excellent professional communication skills and a stable, verifiable work history.

Preferred Qualifications & Experience
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent.

  • Demonstrated ability to think critically and identify "value engineering" opportunities for clients.

  • Experience working directly with executive leadership and field operations teams.

  • Deep understanding of the Lakeland and broader Florida commercial construction market.
