Mid to Senior Level Environmental Engineer at Groundwater and Environmental Svcs. – Pinellas Park, Florida

Groundwater & Environmental Services, Inc. (GES), an industry leader with a reputation for excellence in providing environmental consulting, engineering, compliance, and technical field services to clients in diverse market sectors, seeks an experienced Environmental Engineer to support environmental remediation project activities. The preferred location is Tampa, FL but we encourage qualified candidates from across Florida to apply.

Responsibilities:

Prepares remediation plans and specifications to determine the most appropriate environmental solutions to problems.Performs remedial system designs for various contaminated sites.Oversees installation and operation and maintenance of remedial systems, including preparing field work orders, system evaluations and upgrades, advanced troubleshooting and ensuring permit compliance.Assists with detailed proposals and cost estimates on moderate size projects.Coordinates and oversees construction activities during remedial system installation procedures.Will serve as the lead engineering resource to a project team on projects of varying size.Assists senior or other project engineers on larger-scale projects.Directs and manages remedial technicians in performance of O&M activities. Costs out, plans, prepares, and performs various type of pilot test activity to assist in making solid remedial design decisions.Prepares quarterly status reports for submittal to regulatory agencies.Works in the office as well as the field to fulfill various project needs. Skills & Requirements:

A Bachelor's degree or higher in Engineering (Chemical, Environmental, Civil, Mechanical).5-15+ years of related experience is required. Experience providing engineering / remediation support to Oil & Gas or industrial project sites is a plus.Must have excellent technical writing, decision-making, and time management skills. Must have a Florida PE license.Must have Florida Petroleum Restoration Program (PRP) experience.
