Direct Support Professional/Caregiver at 10811 Crenshaw Blvd LLC – South Gate, California

Ambiria Homes has been providing specialized residential services to adults with developmental disabilities within the Greater Los Angeles area since 2014. Each of our homes have a maximum of 4 residents. This allows individualized care and customized services in order to meet the needs of our residents. Our staff are trained extensively in all areas including the opportunity for training to become Registered Behavior Technicians, licensed Administrators and Direct Support Professionals.

We are seeking compassionate candidates that have the ability to calm residents and deescalate situations when participants who may display aggressive behaviors. Duties include cooking, cleaning, dispensing medications, documenting behavior patterns, driving residents safely to appointments and recreational activities in company vehicle.

Must be able to speak basic English/Debe hablar ingles basico

• Must be caring and patient
• Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities preferred
• Must be able to lift up to 35 lbs
• Must pass background screening with Department of Social Services
• Successfully pass Physical and TB test
• Must be willing to obtain Direct Support Professional Certification 1 & 2
• Must be willing to obtain Crisis Prevention Intervention Certification (company paid training)
• Must be willing to obtain CPR/First Aid Certification (company paid training)
