High Value Core/Parts Puller at Pick Your Part Midwest – Fort Wayne, Indiana

Essential Job Duties

• SHIFT HOURS- Monday-Friday, 7:00am- 3:30pm.
• Carefully pull, sort and package high value cores (HVC).
• HVC Including but not limited to: Engines, transmissions, cores, etc.
• Respond to customer counter sales by receiving order, pulling product and taking to sales counter.
• Must be able to pull parts in the salvage yard efficiently and without damage.
• Dismantle and remove hybrid batteries, catalytic converters, airbags and other parts efficiently from vehicles in a safety conscious manner.
• Stage high value cores/parts for vendor or customer pickups.
• May be required to operate forklift and load trucks.
• Maintain orderliness and housekeeping of assigned work areas.
• Must meet productivity guidelines.
• May be required to use handheld or similar device to enter information and generate reports.
• Comply with established company policies and procedures.
• Assume other duties as assigned.
• MUST BE ABLE TO PULL ENGINES, TRANSMISSIONS AND OTHER PARTS IN SALVAGE YARD.

Supervisory Responsibilities

• Not responsible for supervising employees.

Minimum Requirements

Education & Experience

• Must have hands-on automotive repair experience including engine and transmission removal.
• Must complete required training.
• Necessary tools will be provided as needed.

Preferred Requirements

• High School Diploma/GED.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

• Basic math and computer skills.
• Basic messages communicated orally. May write brief messages and keep simple records.
• Problems encountered are routine, somewhat repetitive and generally solved by following clear directions and procedures.
• Follows standard procedures with little decision making involved.
• Assignments/priorities provided by supervisor/manager.
• Must be able to use hand and electric tools.
