Medical Technologist I - Laboratory Services at Baxter Health – Mountain Home, Arkansas

$3,000 / Two (2) Year Sign On Agreement

SUMMARY:

Work closely with & following instructions of Laboratory Coordinator & Director in performing diagnostic test procedures on various patient specimens following Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) with careful attention to safety, quality control & regulatory guidelines. Other duties include but are not limited to collection, preparation, & processing of patient specimens, careful documentation of all processes, performance & interpretation of quality assurance activities, maintenance of various pieces of complex diagnostic equipment & other duties as necessary for the smooth operation of Laboratory Services. Participate in developing new procedures & process improvements. Detect possible discrepancies in & confirm abnormal test results. Work with LIS Administrator for effective, efficient data management & with the Director for QA, PI, Compliance, regulatory, inspection & other assigned duties.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Education: Bachelor Degree in Medical Technology or equivalent

Experience: At least one year technical & LIS experience preferred

Certifications: MLS (ASCP), CLS (ASCP), MT (ASCP), MT(HEW/HHS) or MT(AMT)

Other: Section Specialty Certification, Working knowledge of computers and laboratory equipment.

Safety Sensitive Designation:

This position is deemed safety sensitive in accordance with Arkansas Act 593 governing Medical Marijuana.
