Join the dedicated Stroke/Trauma Progressive Care Unit at NKC Health, where you can grow in a challenging, team-centered environment. As part of our 40-bed unit, you’ll provide care for patients with diverse and complex needs, including those with stroke, neuro, trauma, ventilator dependency, and pediatric cases. Our CNA’s work closely with the RN’s, trauma physicians, and specialists to deliver top-quality patient care. With access to Ceribell EEG Headbands for rapid seizure detection and support from charge nurses, supervisors, and directors, you’ll have the resources and backing to deliver outstanding care.

Responsibilities

• Under the direction of the Director of Nursing, RN, LPN, you will play a vital role in the care of patients by performing basic nursing care and support tasks on assigned units.
• Provide patient care such as: ambulation, bathing, toileting, obtaining vital signs, all while maintaining a safe environment.
• Demonstrate effective communication skills to accurately convey patient information to RN, LPN and other members of the team in a timely manner.
• Demonstrate basic computer skills to accurately record vital patient information.

Experience: Hospital experience-Preferred

License/Certification/Education:

• BLS (Basic Life Support) from AHA (American Heart Association), CNA (Certified Nurse Assistant)-Required
• High School or Equivalent-Preferred
