About the Role:
The 2nd Shift, Monday-Thursday 4:30pm-2:30am, Robotic Welder plays a critical role in the manufacturing process by operating and maintaining robotic welding equipment to produce high-quality welded components. This position ensures that welding operations meet precise specifications and quality standards while adhering to safety protocols. The role requires close collaboration with engineering and production teams to optimize welding processes and troubleshoot any issues that arise during the shift. The successful candidate will contribute to maintaining production efficiency and minimizing downtime by performing routine maintenance and adjustments on robotic systems. Ultimately, this position supports the company’s commitment to delivering reliable and consistent products to customers on a timely basis.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience operating robotic welding equipment or similar automated manufacturing machinery.
- Basic understanding of welding processes, including MIG, TIG, or spot welding.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, welding symbols, and technical documentation.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality standards.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certification in robotic welding or welding technology.
- Experience with programming or troubleshooting robotic welding systems.
- Familiarity with industrial safety standards and OSHA regulations.
- Previous experience working in a manufacturing or production environment on a 2nd shift schedule.
- Basic mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
Responsibilities:
- Operate robotic welding machines to perform automated welding tasks according to production schedules and specifications.
- Monitor welding equipment during operation to ensure proper function and quality output, making adjustments as necessary.
- Perform routine maintenance, cleaning, and minor repairs on robotic welding systems to prevent breakdowns and maintain efficiency.
- Inspect welded components for defects or inconsistencies and report any quality issues to supervisors or quality control teams.
- Collaborate with engineering and production staff to optimize welding parameters and improve overall process performance.
- Maintain accurate production and maintenance records in compliance with company policies and regulatory standards.
- Adhere strictly to all safety guidelines and protocols to ensure a safe working environment for all team members.
