Job Overview:
The Radiation oncology secretary coordinates activities at the front desk/reception area and
interacts effectively with the Radiation Oncologists and all team members,
Qualifications:
Required:
- High school graduate or equivalent
- Computer experience
Preferred:
- Previous experience in a medical office
Scheduling Requirements:
- Per Diem
- Day
Essential Functions:
- Registers patients, reviews patient insurance plans, maintains accurate records in regarding referral, authorization for radiation therapy, office visits etc,
- Answers phones professionally, records messages and forwards calls to appropriate party, reschedule and schedules appointments timely
- Files patient information in a timely fashion
- Excellent communication skills, time management and problem solving skills
