AEC Student Services Assistant in Upland, Indiana at Taylor University

This individual will perform tasks necessary to help the Academic Enrichment Center accomplish its mission. Individuals will be hired for specific roles based on their skill set and abilities.
These tasks or roles may include:

• Reading exam and quiz questions aloud for eligible students as directed by AEC staff members
• Providing support for assistive technology including printing materials in braille, converting print or written documents, or adding captions for video material
• Serve as a sighted guide for a blind or low vision student

• Proficiency in reading the English language aloud
• Ability to clearly articulate the English language as it is read aloud
• Ability to sit for 2-3 hours as needed for exam proctoring
• Kind, patient disposition
• Learn to use assistive technology
• Provide direction and sighted guidance in a safe manner for a blind or low/vision student
• Skills/qualifications dependent on particular task needed by the Academic Enrichment Center
