Position Description:

Job Overview: The ideal candidate for this position has previous experience, enjoys working in a busy restaurant environment, and is capable of taking direction well and multi-tasking effectively.

Essential Job Functions include, but not limited to: Measure and assemble ingredients for menu items Prepare foods per menu specifications, allowing for variations to the guests expectations Maintain accurate food inventories Properly store food items at appropriate temperatures Consistently check quality of ingredients Rotate stock items as per established procedures Restock kitchen for subsequent shifts Operates various kitchen appliances such as blender, oven, grill, or stand mixer Ensure that the food prep area and kitchen are cleaned and sanitized at the end of your shift Collaborate with kitchen staff regarding stock, presentation, and temperature of food Ability to sweep and mop floors, clean countertops, lift and carry trash containers and place in outside bin Ability to handle high levels of stress Regular and reliable attendance Ability to operate in a constant state of alertness
Qualifications/Experience/Education 2+ years experience as a cook in the restaurant industry Ability to read and follow standardized recipes Strong knowledge of proper food handling procedures Ability to work as part of a team in a busy kitchen environment ServeSafe Certification preferred
