About This Position

Responsible for leading patient registration operations to ensure compliance, accuracy, and service excellence. Provides leadership in monitoring workflows, supervising staff assignments, and coordinating quality improvement initiatives. Ensures regulatory compliance, revenue integrity, and patient satisfaction through effective oversight of registration processes. Develops and implements staff training programs, performance monitoring, and process enhancements. Collaborates with departmental leadership, clinical staff, and revenue cycle management to achieve operational and financial goals.
Essential Functions:

Oversees registration workflows to ensure efficiency, accuracy, and compliance.

Assigns, monitors, and reviews staff work to maintain service-level standards and patient satisfaction.

Provides leadership, guidance, and performance feedback to registration representatives.

Leads quality assurance programs and prepares compliance and performance reports.

Collaborates with clinical and revenue cycle leaders to align registration processes with organizational objectives.

Identifies opportunities for process improvement and implements best practices.

Serves as an escalation point for staff, patients, and clinical partners in resolving complex issues.

Develops and delivers training programs to ensure staff competency and consistency.

Supports departmental budgeting, staffing, and scheduling needs.

Performs other duties as assigned.
Education Requirement: Bachelor’s degree
Experience Requirement: 7+ years of experience in patient access, registration, or healthcare customer service, preferably in an emergency department or high-volume setting
An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered. All experience must be paid and in the same related field. Part-time and PRN experience will be prorated based on hours worked per week. Volunteer work and internships for academic credit are not counted.
