Summary:

In this hands on role, the Manager, Financial Reporting in conjunction with the Manager, Financial Reporting will be responsible for the day-to-day accounting operations. The Finance Manager will also be responsible for maintaining the financial integrity of the accounting records through effective procedures, systems, and controls and coordination with all other departments.

What You'll Do:

  • General accounting functions including, journal entries and working papers in multiple currencies and reconciliations.
  • Providing leadership and managing a small team to ensure that the day-to-day accounting operations are completed accurately and on time within prescribed deadlines
  • Implementing accounting policies and procedures upholding legal standards by keeping up to date with existing, new, and future legislation.
  • Using Power BI to review financial results and prepare variance analysis.
  • Preparing monthly and consolidated quarterly and annual financial reporting to public company standards.
  • Preparing technical accounting memos to support the Company’s reporting in accordance with IFRS.
  • Lead annual operating budget preparation, financial forecasts and variance analysis.
  • Preparing corporate tax, tax provisions, and transfer pricing
  • Championing the ERP system as administrator and managing any system changes.
  • Championing and engaging the finance team on process improvement and analysis using power BI.
  • Coordinating with auditors and providing necessary information for audits.
  • Reviewing yearly financials and corporate tax returns
  • Establishing and monitoring internal controls policies and procedures to ensure adherence to guidelines and regulations and providing recommendations to address deficiencies
  • Overseeing the corporate insurance policies
  • Serving as back up for key finance responsibilities, such as controllership functions and payroll processing.
  • Implementing and assessing the controls within the Company
  • Communication with external auditors.
  • Other projects as assigned

What You'll Bring:

  • CPA designation
  • 4+ years of experience of audit experience in public practice or similar industry experience
  • Experience with multi-companies and multi-currencies transactions
  • Experience with large ERP systems, preferably Business Central
  • Advanced Excel skills and Power BI
  • Strong interpersonal, organization and time management skills
  • Strong attention to detail with a proactive approach to problem solving
  • Team player and able to initiate corrective action in a positive manner
  • A proven leader with excellent communication skills and a demonstrated ability to work effectively with senior management.
  • Can perform under pressure and handle multiple concurrent deadlines and tasks; and
  • Can function in an environment where priorities are subject to change based on various drivers.
