ARMED SECURITY GUARD in Moore, Oklahoma at SJ Innovations LLC

DUTIES: Responsible for using corporate protocol to greet facility guests, assigning the proper security badge to each visitor, preventing unauthorized access, monitoring the interior and exterior of the facility, checking to make sure that certain doors are locked or
unlocked as required and reporting any suspicious activity to the local police department. Must be able to collaborate with other members of the security team to limit any potential risks. Must be capable of thoroughly investigating and properly documenting and reporting all infractions or incidents. Must act as a deterrent to criminal activity by remaining visible and presenting a neat and professional appearance in properly worn uniform and associated equipment. Perform scheduled and random checks of designated areas throughout the facility to check for any security breaches. Assist the maintenance staff in securing areas as needed during a maintenance emergency. Maintain a professional and
effective relationship with the local police and fire departments. Secure premises and personnel by patrolling property; monitoring surveillance
equipment; inspecting buildings, equipment, and access points; and permitting entry. Prevent losses and damage by reporting irregularities; informing violators of policy and procedures; and restraining trespassers. Control traffic by directing drivers. Complete reports by recording observations, information, occurrences, and surveillance activities; interviewing witnesses; and obtaining signatures. Maintain organization's stability and reputation by complying with legal requirements. Carry a weapon for de-escalation and defensive purposes. Respond to reported incidents as necessary. Maintain proficiency in the use of all assigned protective equipment, restraint devices and weapons. Preserve order and act to enforce regulations and directives for the site pertaining to personnel, visitors, and premises. Participate in industry specific security/safety training programs to offer our clients the best trained officers at their sites.

SKILLS: Minimum two (2) years of applicable experience. High school diploma/GED is required. Must be CLEET certified and an active duty law enforcement officer with the City of Moore or Cleveland County. Additional certifications, such as a baton permit, pepper spray permit, and CPR certification, are desirable.

Physical abilities: Stamina to walk and stand for extended periods, occasionally lift or carry up to 40 pounds, and climb stairs, ramps, or ladders. Must be able to handle pressure of working with high volume general public (constantly to occasionally depending on assignment) and handle crisis situations calmly and effectively.

Must demonstrate good communication skills and the ability to work independently or under general direction. Must be able to pass Law
Enforcement Sensitive Background Investigation and obtain bonding.
