About This Position
Position Summary
The Maintenance Planner is responsible for planning, scheduling, and coordinating all maintenance activities to ensure equipment reliability, minimize downtime, and improve operational efficiency. This role works closely with maintenance, operations, and production teams to ensure work is prioritized, properly resourced, and completed safely and effectively.
Key Responsibilities
· Develop and manage preventive and predictive maintenance schedules
· Plan and coordinate maintenance work, including labor, materials, and tools
· Create detailed work orders with clear instructions and safety requirements,
· Collaborate with operations to schedule maintenance with minimal disruption
· Maintain and update the CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System)
· Track equipment history, maintenance records, and performance metrics
· Identify opportunities to improve equipment reliability and reduce downtime
· Ensure parts and materials are available prior to scheduled work
· Monitor maintenance KPIs (e.g., downtime, PM compliance, MTTR, MTBF)
· Support root cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives
· Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies
· Verify & audit work order effectiveness and completion
· Collaborate with buyer and parts clerk to ensure PM completion, closure, effectiveness.
· Build the annual PM plan for budgeting, planning the weekly execution of the plan
Qualifications
· 3–5+ years of maintenance planning or industrial maintenance experience
· Experience with CMMS systems (e.g., SAP, Maximo, Fiix, or similar)
· Strong understanding of preventive and predictive maintenance practices
· Ability to read technical manuals, drawings, and schematics
· Strong organizational, planning, and problem-solving skills
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel required)

Physical Requirements
· Ability to walk production floors and inspect equipment
· Occasional lifting (up to 50 lbs.)
· Ability to work in varying temperatures and industrial conditions
