Drywaller/Painter Master Residential Finishing and Surface Restoration

Job Overview:

  • Schedule: Monday - Friday, Overtime.

  • Project Scope: Residential Construction / Remodeling.

The Opportunity: As a Drywaller/Painter, you are the artisan responsible for the final look and feel of our high-end residential projects. You will transform raw framing into pristine, move-in-ready spaces by applying expert finishing techniques and flawless paint coatings. This role is vital to maintaining our five-star reputation, ensuring every wall and ceiling meets our rigorous standards for quality and aesthetics.

How You Will Make an Impact:

  • Installed and fastened drywall panels to wood and metal studs with precision to ensure square and plumb surfaces.

  • Executed professional-grade taping and mudding, applying multiple coats of compound to create seamless joints.

  • Restored damaged surfaces by repairing patches from water or smoke damage to match existing textures.

  • Prepared surfaces for finishing by cleaning, scraping, sanding, and applying caulk to ensure a professional bond.

  • Applied primer, paint, and stains to walls, ceilings, and trim using brushes, rollers, and specialized spray equipment.

  • Managed jobsite safety and organization by setting up scaffolds and maintaining a clean, well-lit workspace.

Required Qualifications & Experience:

  • Minimum of 1 years of experience in drywall installation, finishing, and residential painting.

  • Technical proficiency in "tape, bed, and top coat" finishing techniques and painting methods.

  • Physical capacity to stand, bend, and lift heavy materials consistently (often 50+ lbs).

  • Mastery of industry-standard tools, including T-squares, drywall saws, mud pans, and taping tools.

  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify and correct surface imperfections before final coating.

Preferred Qualifications & Experience:

  • High School Diploma or GED.

  • Previous experience working within a residential remodeling environment.

  • Knowledge of site safety protocols and the ability to interpret basic construction blueprints.

  • Experience operating scaffolds and lifts safely in a residential setting.
