About This Position
Qualifications:
•
Minimum of 5 years of experience in drafting, drawing review, manufacturing documentation, or related technical role.
•
Proficiency in CAD software and other design tools. (Autodesk Inventor experience is a must)
•
Strong grasp of steel manufacturing principles and standards. (welding, machining, quality)
•
Attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
•
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
•
Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings.
•
Ability to identify and correct drawing errors effectively.
•
Ability to use design and drafting software proficiently.
•
Familiarity with ASME & AISC standards in the boiler and pressure vessel field.
•
Knowledge of MS Office products. (Excel, Word, Outlook)
Responsibilities:
•
This person will review technical drawings to ensure they meet stringent quality standards, project requirements, and compliance requirements before they move into the production phase.
•
Meticulously reviewing blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams.
•
Ensure all drawings comply with industry standards and project specifications.
•
Identify and correct errors, omissions, or discrepancies in drawings.
•
Collaborate with engineers and design team to resolve drawing issues.
•
This person will also be responsible for using CAD software to design 3D models and develop detailed fabrication drawings when needed.
•
Develop Bill of Materials to fully define material requirements.
•
Use Inventor software to create nesting reports for purchasing and shop use for cutting purposes.

Create requisitions from BOMs for purchasers.
•
All other general office duties.
