About This Position
Clinical Documentation Specialist
Facilitates and corrects optimal DRG assignment for selected diagnostic groups. Works closely with physicians regarding clinical documentation. Coordinates the collection, analysis, and reporting of data on concurrent and retrospective DRGs,
Education Requirements:
Bachelors Degree
License, Certifications, Etc.
Required: RN (Registered Nurse)
Desired: Utilization Management or Coding Certification
Minimum
5 years experience in an acute care setting, preferably in med/sur or ICU nursing; familiar with coding concepts and coding software.
Preferred
Clinical experience as a case manager, utilization review nurse
