About This Position
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provides security and loss prevention at manufacturing facility through established procedures.
- Patrols property via foot or vehicular patrol as needed and monitors activities of visitors, contractors, vendors, and employees (Approach anyone in the plant you are not sure of).
- Ensures compliance with security and safety regulations to include state private security regulations.
- Assists when directed by plant management with internal investigations.
- Check & record all temperatures found in the plant and boiler room and on Themo King on trailers out back with fuel level, when not within limits contact maintenance.
- Help document the inbound and outbound appointments.
- Groundskeeping, trash removal.
- Alert employees of tornadoes when conditions exist.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Completion of all security training courses as required by the facility within the first 30 days of employment. Must have or obtain a Private Officer license Class B.
- Ability to obtain current certification in Red Cross or similar First Aid and CPR/AED training.
- Ability to operate company vehicle.
- Ability to review, analyze, and interpret documents, communicate effectively in written and verbal form, and to solve problems.
- Working knowledge of computer, Microsoft Word and Excel spreadsheets and ability to type effectively and grammatically correct. High School diploma or equivalent (GED) required with three to five years job-related experience preferred.Two years peace officer or four years military police experience preferred.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
- Regularly required to sit, stand, and walk and use hands and arms for tasks that require reaching, handling, and lifting. Frequently required to converse with visitors and employees. Close distance and peripheral vision and ability to focus required.
- Ability to work in manufacturing environment includes various weather conditions.
- Normal work week 40 hours (overtime as required). Variable shifts include nights, weekends, and holidays.

COMPENSATION: $18.74 per hour + $1.00 shift differential
