Position Overview
Key ResponsibilitiesThreat Tec is seeking two experienced Battle Staff Role Players (1099) to support the NEXT-P program in San Diego, California. These positions will support Higher Headquarters (HHQ) and Adjacent Headquarters battle staff replication in support of exercise design, execution, and training objectives.
The ideal candidates will bring recent operational experience from joint, fleet, or TSOC commands and possess a strong background in battle staff processes, strike/FIRES/SOF planning, or live, virtual, and constructive joint force exercises. This role also requires prior NSW TRIDENT experience within the last three years.
- Provide input to Road to War operational documents and exercise task organization.
- Support development of the full mission profile design and command post exercise design.
- Draft exercise operational orders designed to achieve joint force training objectives.
- Provide Master Sequence of Events List (MSEL) input and/or coordinate MSEL activities for assigned lines of effort.
- Develop inputs including message generation and role-playing requirements.
- Deliver informal mentorship, training, and feedback sessions to training audience personnel.
- Participate in roundtable discussions with training audience personnel.
- Contribute to discussions and training topics that may include:
- Combat ethics
- SOF mission case studies
- Panel participation within the NSW enterprise
- Minimum of 3 years of recent experience within the last 5 years at a joint, fleet, or TSOC command.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in one or more of the following areas:
- Strike / FIRES / SOF planning
- Managing live, virtual, and constructive joint force exercises
- Replicating OPFOR role players in the INDOPACOM and CENTCOM areas of operations
- Previous NSW TRIDENT experience within the last three years is essential.
