What You’ll Do:

  • Provide all standard respiratory care modalities: oxygen, therapeutic aerosols, bronchodilators, mucolytic, nasal tracheal suctioning, chest physio-therapy, incentive spirometry and breathing exercises, as well as ventilator management according to department procedures and standard respiratory therapy practices
  • Assist in cardiopulmonary resuscitation attempts and intubation in accordance with standard protocols
  • Obtain accurate samples for blood gas analysis
  • Respond to Code Blue and Code Blue-pediatric events within the hospital and assist in airway management, ABG’s, EKG’s and/or assist in cardiac chest compression
  • Schedules daily in-patients and out-patients for ABG’s, EKG’s, Stress Tests, HHN’s, MDI’s and CPT’s
  • Assist the in-patient or out-patient to better understand their condition, presentation and supportive ways to maintain through patient education
  • Maintain all appropriate equipment and machinery within the Respiratory Therapy/Cardiopulmonary Department, reporting any abnormalities to the Director of Cardiopulmonary Services

What We’re Looking For:

Required:

  • Graduate of American Medical Association approved School of Respiratory Therapy and successful completion of the Registry Examination
  • New grads eligible
  • Respiratory Therapy Licensure
  • Maintain BLS
  • New Hampshire State Board of Registration and Medicine
  • Computer literacy, detail-oriented; works well under pressure

Preferred:

  • 1-3 years of respiratory therapy clinical experience
  • ACLS Certification
